The name
The name "Jasper" has various origins and meanings. It is often associated with the Old French name "Jaspre," which comes from the Persian word "yašp-," meaning "treasurer" or "bringer of treasure." In some traditions, the name is linked to the semi-precious gemstone jasper, which is known for its various colors and patterns.
How to burn
Lighting
- Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before lighting.
- Use a long match or lighter to avoid burns.
- Light the wick and let the flame stabilize.
Turning Off
- Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame safely.
- Alternatively, blow gently on the flame while protecting it with your hand to avoid hot wax splatter.
- Ensure the wick stops glowing before leaving the candle unattended.
Always burn candles on a heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects.
